Masjid (Mosque of) Syajarah

On the way heading back to Masjidil Haram (holy mosque of Mecca) I was moved to stop at this mosque.

Letaknya berhadapan Masjid Jin.
Its location is facing the mosque of Djinns.

Saya diberitahu namanya adalah Masjid Syajarah.
I was told its name is the mosque of Syajarah.

Syajarah bermakna pokok.
Syajarah means tree. According to the stories one stood here a special date tree.

Pokok ini istimewa kerana dikatakan pernah berjalan beberapa kali kerana dipanggil Nabi Muhammad SAW.
This tree is special as it is said that once it walked a few feet to answer the call of Nabi Muhammad SAW.

The prophet wanted to demonstrate his miracles to a number of people. The tree then was asked to return to its original position.

Makam (Tomb of) Siti Khadijah

At a hillside section of Ma'ala there is a closed area with high walls.

Inside it there are a number of graves which are intentionally closed to the public.

I have to a find a certain section just to have a clear look.

Of main importance is the tomb of Siti Khadijah which is situated on the right of this picture. She is the first wife of Prophet Muhammad SAW, the one and only woman who gave him child which brought descendants.

Tanah perkuburan (The burial ground of) Ma'ala

Berdekatan Masjid Jin terdapat tanah perkuburan besar yang dipanggil Ma'ala.
Close to the mosque of Djinns lies a huge burial ground called the Ma'ala.

Panjangnya sekitar 700 meter dengan kelebaran hampir 300 meter.
Its length is 700 metres with a width of almost 300 metres.

What is shown here is just the northern section.

This burial ground has been in existence since the time of Prophet Muhammad more than 1,400 years ago.

Here is laid to rest a number of his companions and family members...

Masjid Jin yang rasmi (The official mosque of Djinns)

Sekitar 140 meter ke utara Masjid Jin tadi terdapat sebuah lagi masjid tetapi hampir serupa.
About 140 metres north of the mosque of Djinns just now there is another mosque but almost identical.

This one has an official sign calling it as the mosque of Djinns.

According to the stories this mosque and the previous one are actually the same mosque.

Kedua-dua bahagian kemudian diperbaiki menjadi dua buah masjid.
But a sort of magic happened causing the mosque to be split into two sections which are rather far from each other. The two sections then were fixed to become two independent mosques.

Masjid Jin (Mosque of the Djinns)

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Jiranah.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Jiranah.

Almost dusk me and wife walked for around 1 km to the north of the Masjidil Haram (holy mosque of Mecca) to get to another mosque.

Menariknya ia dipanggil Masjid Jin, merujuk pada makhluk halus jin...
Interestingly it is called the Masjid Jin (mosque of Djinns), referring to the invisible creatures djinn (or genies)...

Katanya Nabi Muhammad SAW pernah membaca ayat-ayat Al-Quran di sini lalu didengari sekumpulan jin.
It is said Prophet Muhammad SAW once recited some Quranic verses here and this was heard by a group of djinns.

The djinns were attracted by the recital and decided to embrace Islam.

Masjid (Mosque of) Jiranah

One more place visited that morning is the mosque of Jiranah.

Located to the east of the city of Mecca, it is a place for the miqat, place for setting intention to conduct the pilgrimage worship act of umrah.

(The hill called) Jabal Rahmah

Isnin 8 April 2013. Rombongan kami dibawa melihat tempat-tempat menarik di luar kota Mekah. Antaranya adalah bukit yang dipanggil Jabal Rahmah.
Monday 8th April 2013. Our group was brought to look at interesting places outside of the city of Mecca. Among it is the hill called Jabal Rahmah.

According to the stories this is the place Prophet Adam get to meet his wife Siti Hawa (Eve) after 40 years of separation, after being brought out of paradise.

Ini adalah artikel ke 1,166 di blogspot ini. Tiang batu ini menandakan puncak bukit. Untuk pemandangan sekeliling lihat artikel Views from the hill called Jabal Rahmah di blogspot BERPETUALANG KE ACEH

Puncak bukit (Summit of the hill of) Marwah

Bersambung dari Masjid (Mosque of) Taneem.
Continued from Masjid (Mosque of) Taneem.

Pada hari Sabtu saya telah membuat artikel bertajuk Puncak bukit (Summit of the hill of) Safa lalu menyebutnya sebagai satu dari 2 puncak bukit yang harus dituju berulang-alik dalam ibadah yang dipanggil sa'ie. Sekarang biar ditunjukkan puncak lagi satu iaitu di bukit Safa.
On Saturday I made an article titled Puncak bukit (Summit of the hill of) Safa and mentioned it as one of the 2 peaks of hills which one must head to and fro in the act of worship called the sa'ie. Now let the other peak which is on the hill of Safa be shown.

Unlike the peak of Safa hill which is rather steep the peak here is rather even.

Maka itu ia terus dibuka kepada umum. Dapatlah orang ramai menjejakkan kaki di atasnya...
Thus it continued to be opened to the public. Thus people at large could step their foot on top of it...

Masjid (Mosque of) Taneem

Selepas menziarahi tempat kelahiran Nabi kami mendapatkan teksi untuk ke Masjid Taneem (disebut Tana'im).
After visiting the place where the Prophet was born at we took a taxi to get to the mosque of Taneem (pronouced Tana'im).

Situated around 7 km from the Masjidil Haram (holy mosque of) Mecca it is the closest mosque outside of the boundaries of the Haram (land area prohibited to non-Muslims).

This also makes it the closest miqat place for setting the intention to do the umrah (a pilgrimage worship set of acts).

From here then only we head back to the Masjidil Haram to conduct the umrah.

Rumah tempat Nabi Muhammad SAW dilahirkan (The house where Prophet Muhammad SAW was born at)

Sekitar 300 meter ke timur Masjidil Haram (rujuk Masjidil Haram (The holy mosque of DMecca))  iaitu dari pintu keluar Bukit Marwah terdapat bangunan dua tingkat ini.
About 300 metres to the east of the Masjidil Haram (refer Masjidil Haram (The holy mosque of Mecca) that is from the hill of Marwah exit there lies this two-storey building.

I was told by many parties that it was inside this building that the Prophet Muhammad SAW was born more than 1,400 tahun lalu.

Still this fact is officially denied by the government of Arab Saudi which is of the Wahabi school of thought.

The excuse is they don't want this place to be considered holy. The truth is followers of Wahabi have the tendency to cover up the history of important places which have been stepped on by Prophet Muhammad SAW.

This building has been turned into a library which is very rarely opened. There are those who said that this is the original building since the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW but was given a new facelift. There are those who said the original building has long crumbled but still the new building stood on the place where he was born at.
